Lunch N’ Learn: Self-Advocacy in Healthcare

This event has passed.

Marj Buerger, a social worker with the Office of the Alberta Health Advocates, will present a Lunch N’ Learn session on “Self-Advocacy in Healthcare” for older adults.

The conversational session will cover three main topics: the long-term benefits of self-advocacy in healthcare, common barriers to self-advocacy for older adults, and practical strategies to improve communication styles that support strong self-advocacy.

With over a decade of experience in advocacy and a focus on the older adult population, Marj aims to provide valuable insights and education to empower seniors in their healthcare journey.
