Bringing us together

This May—during Caregivers Awareness Month—we thought we’d do something special: bring caregivers, health-care professionals and service providers together for a province-wide, virtual conference.

What is “Caregivers Together 2022?

Building awareness, community and knowledge around caregiving is essential to empower Alberta’s nearly one-million caregivers. Without support, we all know that caregiver well-being is tough to sustain.

By getting together – even just virtually – we can continue to build a community of support for our caregivers, their care recipients, and those that engage with them during their journey.

For the first time ever, join us for a caregiver-centred, province-wide conference focused on education, resources and relationship-building.

Featuring keynote speaker André Picard

André Picard is a health reporter and columnist for The Globe and Mail, and the author of five bestselling books, including “Neglected no More: The Urgent Need to Improve the Lives of Canada’s Elders in the Wake of a Pandemic.”

He was named Canada’s first “Public Health Hero” by the Canadian Public Health Association, as a “Champion of Mental Health” by the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health, and received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his dedication to improving healthcare.

We’re so excited to welcome him to our conference!
