SUMMARY:Beyond the Shift - Support for Caregivers Whose Work Never Really Ends
DESCRIPTION:Caring for others while managing your own responsibilities can be both rewarding and overwhelming—especially for double duty caregivers who juggle professional and personal caregiving roles. This course is designed to support you in finding balance and resilience. You’ll explore the importance of intentionally creating downtime\, learn to assess your own well-being with the same care you offer others\, and discover practical tools to calm your nervous system and enhance your quality of life. By the end\, you’ll develop a personalized care plan that promotes recovery\, sustainability\, and long-term wellness—both at work and at home. \nThe program will run bi-weekly on Tuesdays starting September 9th. \nTime: 6:30pm -8:00pm \nDates: \nSeptember: 9 & 23 \nOctober: 7 & 21 \nNovember 4 & 18 \nDecember 2 & 16 \nPLEASE NOTE: This is a closed cohort group with limited virtual seating. Group disclosure will be encouraged as part of the process\, fostering an atmosphere of openness and trust. As a general commitment\, we are asking that if you register you are acknowledging your desire to participate in the full 10-week program\, as this greatly supports group cohesion and your individual process. \nA donation of $55 is recommended but you are welcome to offer more or less than that amount depending on what you can afford. There is an option to register for free if that works best\, a donation is not required for registration.

She has since facilitated the COMPASS program online and is thrilled to now offer it in person to her home community. \nThis offering is made possible through the heartfelt support of her husband\, Adrian\, and his business partner\, Miko Ramsay\, of RAM Projects and Renovations\, whose sponsorship ensures Bow Valley caregivers can participate at no cost.

SUMMARY:Caregiver Journaling Circle - Fall Series
DESCRIPTION:Writing is a wonderful way for caregivers to reduce stress and increase coping skills. Through writing your own narrative\, you can record and review your personal experiences. In general\, this allows you to look for common thought patterns\, evaluate their effectiveness\, problem-solve and see things from a new perspective. Journaling helps us gain a greater understanding of our experiences and reclaim our “self.” \nAt each workshop\, we will gather\, share a journaling prompt\, take some personal journaling time\, then re-group to share with one another. \nThis program occurs bi-weekly on Wednesdays\, 6:30 to 8 p.m. \nFALL SESSION DATES \nSeptember 17 \nOctober 1\,15\, 29 \nNovember 12\, 26 \nDecember 10 \nPlease review our Group Guidelines before registering. \nPlease note: Registration is ongoing. You are welcome to join at any point throughout the fall session.
