Navigator is a one-day workshop that trains health professionals, service providers and community agency staff to better support caregivers by showing them how to:

  • Identify caregivers early in their journey
  • Support caregivers to adopt self-care practices
  • Facilitate caregivers’ access to programs/resources and referrals

The Navigator program is based in the philosophy that understanding and small actions, incorporated into professional practice can have a profound impact on the trajectory of the caregiver journey. Navigator is facilitated by a health care professional who has extensive experience with caregivers.

Open workshops are listed below. Caregivers Alberta also provides Navigator training to organizations and communities by request; for a quote contact our Navigator Coordinator. The workshop includes a full day of training with qualified professional and manuals for all participants.

All workshops are a full day, from 9 am – 4 pm, at Fulton Place School, 10310 56 St NW, Edmonton. The workshops include instruction from qualified professional(s) and manuals for all participants. Lunch will be provided.
