COMPASS is a 9-module program for caregivers that focuses on self-care, wellness and supportive sharing. For more information on the program, please see the COMPASS page.
Caregivers Alberta provides an intensive 3-day facilitator training program to prepare you to deliver the program:
- Training is delivered by an experienced facilitator, and includes a facilitator manual and participant workbook and supplemental resources.
- Available to agencies, professionals and individuals who work in the caregiving field, have previous facilitation experience, and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of caregivers.
- Cost is $480 per person in Edmonton and area and $695 per person when offered in other communities. Please note that through Caregiver Support Project grants this training may be available to communities (who apply for and qualify) at lower or no fees to the participants.
- A detailed breakdown of the learning objectives and training topics is available here.
After completing the training and being designated a facilitator, you can deliver COMPASS in your community or facility. Caregivers Alberta supports COMPASS partners and facilitators by providing information and support, evaluation and advertising tools; all program materials (manuals for small fee); and access to additional resources.
